AND IF YOU COME, we recommend that you visit

Ancient and authentic Monastery highly recommended. You will see the young monks in class. The spot is wonderful. Just walk around Ava, well walking, either by horse-drawn carriage, or by bike (they do not rent, but you can negotiate with a local). Peasants, and small villages will go out to meet you. There is a tower that can be climbed. The views are amazing In the rainy season, better in a horse-drawn carriage, the terrain can be impracticable. A good option is to buy the material there, in Mandalay. It's much cheaper, your money stays there, and you do not have to carry everything from home.
