WHAT DO WE NEED?
Children’s Center cares for children with physical or mental difficulties, where both orphans and those who can not be cared for by their parents, are interned and stay there until they are 26 years old, before going to an adult center.
There are 165 children and young people, from 6 to 26 years old.
They tell us that they need almost everything: food, clothes, footwear, school supplies, but the priority is food. They only have a budget of € 2 per child per day: rice, flour, oil, pasta, sugar … the basics.

The area is very attractive for travelers, since in the region of Suceava there is a route of the painted monasteries, some of them a World Heritage Site by Unesco and dating from the sixteenth century, are a real wonder, and also the route takes small villages nestled between valleys and green hills. Our recommendation is to stay in Vatra Moldovitei (30 km from Guru Humorului), a good starting point to visit the different monasteries. It is a small town with lots of charm where there is a cheap rural house, very nice and where you have a luxurious dinner, according to what the lady of the house cooked that day, but surely a typical dish.
